Review: Transformers Classic Jetfire

I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I got this guy today and was simply blown away. I just had to post a review:

Review: Transformers Classic Jetfire

Though the name has been used countless times throughout the Transformers franchise, this is the first time that a new Jetfire truly pays homage to the beloved G1 original. The new Classic Jetfire transforms from a modernized version of the armored Stryke Valkyrie design into a delightful homage to the G1 robot mode. Like the G1 toy, Jetfire can also shed his armor. In fact, he can even shed his head, revealing a smaller head underneath that resembles the head of the G1 cartoon Jetfire (which did not resemble that of the toy). So, whether you’re a fan of the G1 toy or the G1 cartoon character, you’ll be thoroughly satisfied with this toy.

In all three modes, Jetfire is beautiful to look at, well constructed, and full of detail and articulation points. The transformation is also very clever and highly fun. My only regret with Jetfire is that, in armored robot mode, his head is a bit too big for his body. This, combined with the odd placement of his wings, makes him look a bit like a fat butterfly.

Suggestion for Hasbro/Takara: Release four smaller aerialbots that can attach to Jetfire as larger arms and legs. Together, they would form a new Superion, which would look amazing with that oversized head.

Overall grade: A++ This is simply one of the most amazing TFs ever made. Super fun to transform, and absolutely breathtaking in each mode!
