Cyclonus in the cartoon was an honorable, respectable, loyal character and is the kind of Decepticon Soundwave could only dream to be. Cyclonus in the comic was an arrogant thug who didnt' amuse me or interest me the least, and I loved the comics. I didn't give a damn when he got decapitated.

Cartoon did some stuff better, get over it and accept the comic had some failings, not as many as the cartoon but yes they were there.
No im sorry,

You just put it perfectly, Cyc was as stupid as Soundwave and loyal lapdog.

so out with megs and SOundwave and in with Galvy and Cyc. wheres the orginality in that? - oh its the cartoon.

Cyc in the comic is what he should be, an arrognat thug, then they meet deaths head, and get thier asss handed to them.

nothing like this ever happens in the cartoon, its lame kids stuff on every level.

Dont tell me what I have to get over either, the cartoon was just utter crap, im not going to be conivnced any other way, sure I accept the theres some crap in the comic, carwash of doom for example. but even that, the comics biggest pile of poo is better then anything the cartoon ever dressed up.

Sorry but the cartoon is a travesty and quite frankly embarresing, its got lame plots the animation is ropey past season 1, I have nothing good to say about it.

Cyclonus' decapitation was one of the few moments that I felt the comic really stood out. Others include T2006, EoE, Catilla's death...not many of them...
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

It's the term I use to describe the ultra-fanboys who diss the cartoon at every instance, ridicule those who appreaciate it, make up stuff to discredit the cartoon and refuse to accpet there were comic failings.

And in Impactor 2.0's case, can't write at anything higher than an 2nd Grade level.

I'll take honorable, respectful warriors over punky thugs, thanks.

Anywho, Blaster rocks. He shows that there are powerful and intelligent Autobot warriors who are just average soldiers, not city-bots, Matrix-Holders or Unit commanders.

Right, because you hadnt got bored after 2 seasons already with soundwave.

duh!

Comic is far better the the Cartoon - the Cartoon sucks in all respects.

If you dont like that, not my problem, but dont expect anything else from me.

I think I saw the pope on TV yesterday commenting on the plus points of the cartoon.

He said owt.

He's now being fed through a tube.

Nuff said really.

Ah, memories...
who diss the cartoon at every instance, ridicule those who appreaciate it, make up stuff to discredit the cartoon and refuse to accpet there were comic failings.
Where is anyone:
a) Making stuff up
or
b) Refusing to accept the comic had failings?

Of course in no way does it logically follow that where the comic is not great you should suplant it with the cartoon.
And in Impactor 2.0's case, can't write at anything higher than an 2nd Grade level.
witty. Still, you are really beaming maturity by describing people who don't like a cartoon as Nazis - well done you.
I'll take honorable, respectful warriors over punky thugs, thanks.
Yeah, i've noticed this is your 'above 2nd grade' approach to justifying your arguements:

"I'll take my opinion over yours thanks" - makes for fascinating reading.

These topics are crap at staying on topic eh?

Am I alone in thinking that an attitude that basically equates to "you're a Nazi for not thinking the way I think" is hilarious beyond belief?

If intentional, it's irony of the highest order. If not... well, nuff said really.
Grrr. Argh.

Sorry, I've been rather onedge over those types ever since the Beast Machines debate wars, ad the fact that TF fans were so pissy over it they sent Skir death threats. So instinctivley whenever I see guys who go overboard with the cartoon-hate the memories of the BM-hating nutboys spring to mind.

Anywho, Blaster had his visor on in every US story (except #44) until Underbase. In his few appearances after that he had it up.

i'd say describing it in those terms is where you started to go wrong.

This ain't life and death.

There were death threats, Besty. They were ugly times.

Hmm... (takes time to consider). No, of course not - we're all TF fans, and with all the other rubbish on TV and the toyshelves, we need to take every aspect of our shape-changin' robots and be glad that they happened at all. Comic still kicks cartoon arse though.
Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm gonna get hunted by the 'toon fans now, aren't I? I'll be over there, reading a Marvel TF comic.
Anyway, isn't this a dicussion about Blaster? He was better in the comic. (again).

He's alright but my burred comic knowledge does favour the scraplets and the smelting pool. Wasn't bothered about him in the cartoon or movie.

Blurred comic knowledge due to a) age b) not having actual comics anymore pyscially in paper and c) or on my harddrive after the close of the original transfans and distorstion of my original CD-RW disc with said comics on. :)

Nip to the shops and get yourself Titan's TF reprint books. I think 'Cybertron Redux' had lots of Blastery goodness in it. And 'Showdown' too I think (vaguely).
