Not sure if Herb Trimpe played as big a role in the UK as he did in the US when it came to Transformers. But I remember as a kid being quite enthralled by those early Marvel issues that serve as the foundation of my love for Transformers.

Time is relentless. It leaves nothing in it's wake except memories and our deeds. Thanks for the memories, Herb.

Wrote Prime Time. One of the best Bob arc enders. Salute.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Despite all the incredible Roberts stories to date, those first twelve issues will always be my fav. I still remember salivating to get that issue. I remember pulling it off the creaking comic turnstand (remember those?) and seeing Prime blasting those Autobots and my heart sank and I uttered an audible "What? No...." I remembered all the **** the Autobots had been through for like an entire year, with only Ratchet carrying the standard most of that time and Prmie being so helpless. I was ready to see Prime kick butt. It was a cruel, cruel cover. I remember where I was when I read it. It was in my parents room on the end of their bed.
