Josh Trank's Fantastic Four.

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I wouldn't bother if I were you.

I think the important thing for the next reboot to get right is not wasting ninety minutes "reimagining" an origin story that most people are already familiar with and can basically be summarised in exposition before the opening credits.

I've only seen the trailers, but it looked to me as though they based the origin story on the Ultimate Fantastic Four series? I would've thought "most people" would be familiar with the 2005 film's 'traditional' origin story.

Science quartet get dosed with wacky radiation, gain superpowers. That's your origin. Get on with an interesting story. :)

A superhero film where half the film is not taken up with "how should I feel about suddenly having super powers"? Impossible!

Except, perhaps, if the rumours about MCU's Spidey having a no-origin pan out.
